Do you feel pain in your legs while walking and it stops when you rest? And do you have Type 2 Diabetes? If so, you can help in the development of future treatment for both conditions.
People affected by peripheral arterial disease (PAD) experience pain, cramping, or aching in the calves, thighs, or buttocks while walking or exercising, and these discomforts are relieved by rest. PAD is also a major risk factor for lower-extremity amputation, especially in patients with diabetes.
The STRIDE study is a research study that will look to see if a medicine called semaglutide has an affect on walking ability compared to with placebo in people with PAD and type 2 diabetes.
