RESEARCH STUDY
Testing a Topical Medication for Eczema

Eczema — also known as atopic dermatitis — is a condition that makes the skin red and itchy. There is no cure for eczema, but researchers are focused more than ever on trying to find ways to treat it.

Palmetto Clinical Trial Services needs volunteers 12 to 65 years old in the Greenville area who have had moderate to severe eczema for at least 6 months to evaluate a potential topical treatment.

You or your child may qualify if eczema affects at least 5% of the body. To estimate how much of the body has eczema, 1% of the body is approximately the size of the hand, excluding the thumb. So, if you think there are 5 or more ‘hand prints’ of eczema, you may qualify.

You or Your Child May Qualify if:

  • You or your child has had eczema for at least 6 months
  • You or your child has eczema on at least 5% of the body

Participants Receive:

  • Study-related medical care at no cost
  • Study medication at no cost
  • Compensation for time and travel may be provided
